Future Lawyers Share Their Stories: Introducing BIBL Voices

Hello BIBL readers, I am excited to announce that the guest post section of the BIBL blog, Voices, has now launched with an inspiring post by current USC law student and Huffington Post contributor, Stephanie Rector. Read it here.

Stephanie is passionate about public interest law. Her story illustrates how passion and drive can overcome pesky supposed barriers like grades and typos on resumes. She also provides a long list of resources for those of you interested in pursuing public interest volunteer opportunities. These are great opportunities even if you are really looking to break into BigLaw, because you will always gain experience and contacts when you put yourself out there and volunteer. It’s how I got my BigLaw job. I highly recommend you look into it.

I will be adding guest posts to Voices regularly. If you are interested in sharing your story to post in Voices, please get in touch with me. I am currently accepting submissions between 500-1000 words.

Also, if you haven’t already, please check out my story recently published in Bloomberg Big Law about women helping women in law: https://bol.bna.com/perspective-in-law-women-need-to-help-other-women/

There is much more to come as far as updates to the BIBL website, so please stay tuned and subscribe!
